We took the guns that they gave us
We took the bombs that they gave us
We used the maps that they gave us
We ate the food that they gave us
We used the shelter they gave us
We took the hope that they gave us
We took the fear that they gave us
We signed the letters they gave us
We took the shovels they gave us
We took the pills that they gave us
We flew the planes they gave us
We wore the masks they gave us
We took the hate they gave us
We took the money they gave us
I took the lives that they gave to me.
